Whether it's journal entries, flashbacks, or solo drabbles, this is where you can give others some background or insight to your character, or develop a bit of it.

Plot pages as well as want ads can be posted up here. As with all rp sites, we heavily encourage plotting and kindly remind you that interaction is a two-way street. Don't be shy!

It's more of an open area than a bustling town center. With none of the electronic distraction that some are used to, those on the island have to make use of their time in some way. Occasionally a group gets together and plans an actual event and has a setup, or sometimes people come along just to socialize and try to see what others know about the place and what is going on, if they haven't already given up going home.

In the middle of the island there is nothing but house after house, row after row of identical structure one after another. Nothing is assigned, so anyone who has taken shelter has some sort of marker or sign saying the place is occupied. Some live with others, while others defend their space and choose to live alone. There's some basic furniture, water, and electricity by default.

One of the few amenities offered by the island is a large, gated pool in the west. There is never anyone watching and so those who use it need to watch themselves and others to prevent any more accidents. During the nighttime it is closed, but not everyone pays attention to this as the gate is never locked anway.

There is a place on the east side of the island where the Taken get all of their food supplies. No one knows where it comes from, but no one complains either. There are no restaurants here and electronics were always limited in the first place, meaning nothing extravagant nor fast food exists; although, people have tried.

This series of small buildings and structures gives out different supplies depending on the day of the week and who you are. Those working here get a few extra items, yet have been told strictly not to give a person anything more than what is necessary. Trading instead of simply taking will get you a little more in return, especially when it comes to clothes and other non-essentials. No one knows where anything comes from and again, it's not questioned. Many newcomers end up here.

With no electronic messaging and the island not bothering to get any kind of postal system up and running, the people here a while back decided to take matters into their own hands. Simply build your mailbox, mark it in some way to let others know it is yours, and then leave it on one of the many shelves set out.

While almost all of the island is pretty modernized, one thing that has yet to catch up is the pavement- or lack of. Most buildings are good and sturdy for for some reason the ground remains dirt and wooden paths. One can find newcomers wandering aimlessly, lost and either offer help, or look at them with a shake of their head and continue on their own confusing journey.

The island has a good amount of forest covering it, most of it already having set paths made and leaving many to wonder just how long people have been being taken to it. There is no large wildlife, only birds and the occasional small mammal if you're lucky to catch a glimpse. One might find a small lake depending on where on the island they are.

Mia was one who lived on the island a long time ago, and she was a big influence. Instead of scrambling to get away, she decided to spend her time helping others and was able to get a church built for those of religious following wanting a small sense of home. Although it's called a church, the inside is bizarre and confusing, definitely not a religion found in any Earth society. Nonetheless it gives some people peace- or something interesting to look at.
