TAKEN
These are the ones who are kidnapped and brought here by force. They made a wish and were suddenly snatched up. They wake up on the island with no memory of the past twenty-four hours: meaning they don't even remember their wish or what they did to end up where they are now. Those Taken are not limited to those of our own universe (celebrities and original characters), but those of other universes and worlds as well (characters from movies, shows, mangas, cartoons, etc). Some have a rougher trip and end up with temporary amnesia, but it's not exactly common. They're the 'citizens' of the island, so to speak.

RETRIEVERS
The ones who do all the dirty work. Their boss isn't known. They are the ones who go out and actually kidnap the poor, unfortunate souls. When not out on a mission, they're blending in with the crowd and make sure everything is running smoothly and that no one is trying to escape. Original characters only, and very rarely someone Taken is recruited in.

SILENCED
These are the ones who have tried to defy the island and have either caused a lot of chaos, tried to help others escape, or attempted to escape the place themselves. They're unable to speak, though no one knows exactly what is done to them for this to happen. The irony is that they're unable to warn others, even though they know the most. These are watched closely by the Retrievers and forced to work the jobs on the island.

STAFF
The ooc people who make sure everyone is following the rules. We're not here to tell you what to do or pry, just to make sure things are flowing smoothly, questions are answered, applications are accepted, rules aren't broken, the plot is understood, etc. Think of us as tour guides, not the police.
